Hi, I’m Ahna Larson, owner of Blush Salon and Spa in Clear Lake, Iowa. I was born and raised in Sheffield, Iowa, and graduated from West Fork High School in 2015. My passion for the beauty industry led me to P.C.I Academy in Ames, where I graduated with top honors in my cosmetology class in 2016.
After graduation, I returned home to start my career and worked locally for two years before heading back to the Des Moines area. There, I spent a year at a high-end salon in West Des Moines before opening my own salon in Ankeny. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I decided it was time to return to my north Iowa roots, and I’m proud to now call Clear Lake my forever home. Blush Salon and Spa is more than just a place of business—it’s a space where stylists can thrive, provide exceptional services, and have fun doing what they love.
As much as I love my work, I’m a family-oriented person with a big personality. Outside of the salon, you’ll find me, shopping, hanging out with my dogs, on an airplane, spending time with my boyfriend or enjoying a good nap. I’m also a world traveler who embraces life with enthusiasm and energy.
We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support of our community, and we’re proud to have created a place where clients feel welcome and pampered. For me, working in this industry isn’t just a job—it’s my true passion. As the saying goes, “When you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life,” and that’s exactly how I feel every day behind the chair.
